A few years ago came to our hands the book Patápio Silva, classical musician or popular?, Monograph Award winner Lucio Rangel of FUNARTE in 1981 (photo). The work organized by Maria delle Grazie Nogueira de Souza soon occupied a privileged place in our personal library. I read and reread several times this publication enchanted musical career marked by virtuoso flutist. I had an intuition. The life story of Patápio Silva (1880-1907) could become the subject of a documentary. At that moment, in mid-2006 we were doing the launch of the People that Rala (http://www.vimeo.com/21769558), our first short film with an entirely different topic: stress at work. In the previous film and our training in Fine Arts School of UFRJ, three courses allowed this new cinematic experience: Cultural Journalism with Arthur Dapieve (Lab Station Group, 2008), Video Production at the University Estacio de Sa (2007) and photo SENAC (2004).
